a series of animated gifs illustrate three different aspects of instagram use: scrolling through the feed; being notified of your followers; and adding filters to your photos. petrick‘s final animated addition is the instagram logo itself, rendered in 8-bit and pictured alongside the colorful and unmistakable windows 95 mark. the app’s entire interface has been considered in the style of a bygone time, where users can add filers called ‘1-bit’ and ‘mac ’86’, while being notified of their new comments via a flat grey pop up window.
