Facing Material for Machining using #Fusion360 #Othermill #CNC

I picked up a piece of pine from the craft store and thought it’d be worth using in a future project. When I brought it home, I noticed the top and bottom surfaces were pretty warped and unleveled. Woodworks often deal with this problem and use hand planer or mechanical surface planers to level out stock.

In this tutorial I walk through the process of facing material for machining using an Othermill desktop CNC and Autodesk Fusion 360. Facing material is the procedure in which the top surface of stock is removed to make it even and leveled.
