Sony PlayStation’s role-playing game Horizon Zero Dawn won’t be out until 2017, but the company has released enough images that cosplayers are tackling ensembles inspired by the lead character in the game. Anne Torstensen, a.k.a. Ibelinn Cosplay, put together a costume based on Aloy — she’s a hunter and archer who is the lead character in the video game. Anne says:
I loved her design from the moment I saw her, and wanted to replicate her as closely as possible. I followed the guide with most of the right materials except for the shirt and skirt leather parts, almost everything is hand sewn exept for parts of the undershirt. Armor is made out of black worbla, fur is from reindeer.
It’s not quite done yet as I still miss some details on the outfit (skirt and necklaces), and I will continue to make both the spear and bow that she has.
Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
