Vintage Olympics #CelebratePhotography

Summer Olympics 1968 Lee Evans C Larry James L and Ronald Freeman R after their victory for the 400 meter race 1200x805

We could look at vintage Olympics photographs all day! These photos from the 50’s and 60’s come Via Missmoss

i’m not a sports lover by any means, but like many people i tend to get swept up into the excitement of the Olympics. of course it’s pretty different these days to what it was like decades ago – far simpler, not such extravagant opening ceremonies, perhaps even not as competitive (we’re looking at you, Russia). here are some photos from bygone Olympics, courtesy of LIFE.

Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
