These are quick studies by Andy Woodruff that squish the existing continents into charts of land by latitude and longitude. Some interesting observations: by longitude, Africa’s continental shape basically inverts; You can slightly notice India’s sub-continental protrusion upside-down as well; by latitude South America does something similar, and is the only continent still somewhat recognizable; surprisingly North America covers nearly as many columns of longitude as Asia – thank you Greenland! And of course the concentration of land is around the 50° and 30° latitude marks, and the 70° and 20°-30° longitude marks.
Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
