Hardware Workshop at New Lab with panel featuring Ladyada!
If you are interested in learning how to start your own maker business be sure to sign up for the Hardware Workshop session at New Lab. Check out more info on the event here.
Seattle-based Hardware Workshop will be holding a session at New Lab on September 29 and 30. The two-day workshop is geared toward founders who want to turn their ideas into actual hardware products. One panel during the workshop includes a heavyweight lineup of maker entrepreneurs, including Adafruit founder Limor “Ladyada” Fried, Boxee cofounder Idan Cohen and R/GA’s former vice president of product innovation Jeff Mancini.
The workshop costs $75. In addition to 12 hours of instruction, it includes breakfast and lunch on both days, as well as a closing happy hour. Those interested in participating must first apply on Hardware Workshop’s site.
“We aren’t judging what people are building, just verifying people are actually building hardware,” the site reads.
