Austrian Artist Creates Pedal-Powered Cardboard Replica Racing Cars #ArtTuesday
The red ‘Fahrradi‘ is Han Lan’s signature pedal-powered vehicle (see video below) but he’s made a number of pedal-powered vehicles and watercraft and other contraptions over the years. His builds are actually quite laborious, wrapping cardboard, plastic components, PVC, and other materials around sophisticated welded recumbent-like bike frames. And for whatever reason his website looks like it hasn’t been updated – style-wise – since the late 90s!
Watch the ‘Fahrradi’ in action, at 6mph:
Hat-tip Patrick Breslin for tipping me off about the video!
Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
