Launched just over 5 years ago on August 5, 2011, the Juno space probe recently sent back – in the words of the probe’s Twitter account – its “1st up-close look of the gas-giant world” Jupiter! So there you have it, we’ve moved into an era where not only are space and space flight achievements a relatively frequent occurrence – see here and here, also here and here – but we’ve also moved into an era where a probe we send off into the vast emptiness of space has its own Twitter account for us to keep track of it from back home. We live in awesome times!
