This Week in Space: The First of Many Images from @NASA’s Juno Mission @NASAJuno
Launched just over 5 years ago on August 5, 2011, the Juno space probe recently sent back – in the words of the probe’s Twitter account – its “1st up-close look of the gas-giant world” Jupiter! So there you have it, we’ve moved into an era where not only are space and space flight achievements a relatively frequent occurrence – see here and here, also here and here – but we’ve also moved into an era where a probe we send off into the vast emptiness of space has its own Twitter account for us to keep track of it from back home. We live in awesome times!
Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
