The current design for Batwoman in DC Comics is probably one of my favorites for the character. The black and red combo is striking — more striking than Batman’s look in my opinion. N0kiddin Cosplay recently made a version of Kate Kane’s Batwoman by hand. She took a craft foam approach for the gauntlets; she said:
I made them out of craft foam. I used a heat gun to form them, then coated them with Mod Podge and paint. The fins are a thicker foam than the gauntlets, and I just hot glued them on. To fasten them, I used Velcro attached to the same thick foam as the fins.
She added that craft foam is now her favorite cosplay material.
