We’re Celebrating our Adafruit Team this #LaborDay – Vance from Fabrication
Born with the superhuman ability of awesomesauce, Vance rivals Captain America in the categories of strength, speed, and stamina, and outclasses him in the soldering department. Vance’s first word as a baby was ‘Cowabunga’ and he learned to grappling gun before he could walk. All pre-cellphone video so this is purely word-of-mouth legend we’re talking about here. Here’s Vance in his own words:
My name is Vance Lewis, I am the administrator of prototype development and also do rework in the fabrication department.
At Adafruit on a day to day basis I manage the creation of new boards as well as the repairs for boards that have issues. These boards go from me to other departments as one piece of what makes up Adafruit’s priority product, the kits our customers love and use. I contribute to one part of a bigger process to make it all work smoothly.
What intrigues me the most about working here at Adafruit is that I get the opportunity to learn more. Working with technology is a passion of mine and I’m able to better understand the process of technology creation. I find every new project as an opportunity to further my knowledge.
Have an amazing project to share? The Electronics Show and Tell is every Wednesday at 7:30pm ET! To join, head over to YouTube and check out the show’s live chat and our Discord!
