[email protected] make wearables more wearable with Tegaderm @adafruit #adafruit

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival! We bring you mooncakes and a special guest video from @RealSexyCyborg (imgur & Twitter). She is a prolific maker based in China that is doing some fun videos with Adafruit.

In this video she shows how she uses Tegaderm type wound dressing tape to “wear” wearables on skin, this uses an Adafruit GEMMA, NeoPixels and EL wire.

She also explains a Chinese proverb about Lu Ban, and if one should show one’s axe to a master carpenter 🙂

Lu Ban (lǔ bān 鲁班) was supposed to be a consummate carpenter in ancient times. It is said that he once carved a wooden phoenix that was so lifelike that it actually flew in the sky for three days. Thus it was considered the height of folly to show off one’s skill with an axe in front of Lu Ban.

Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
