Final Fantasy XIV Primal Shiva Cosplay

primal-shiva-cosplay-1

TwitchCon took place over the weekend in San Diego and hosted a cosplay contest. Cosplayer Highwinded learned of an opportunity to compete in the contest somewhat last minute, so she worked on upgrading her striking take on Primal Shiva from Final Fantasy for the event. She spent as much time as she could working on the revamp in the three weeks before the convention and practically remade the entire costume. She placed LEDs in the wig to make the icicle tips glow and practiced doing the body paint/ice fx makeup since it was her first time using it. Applying everything took about five hours. She didn’t place, but that doesn’t mean her costume isn’t impressive.
