Handmade Crocheted E.T. Costume

A plethora of versatile materials are on the market for cosplay — everything from craft foam to Worbla — but going simple can have a stunning effect. Crochet hooks and yarn can go a long way. I saw a Scarlet Witch at New York Comic Con with a completely crocheted cape and helm, and then this morning, I spotted this little E.T. on the internet. The materials may be straightforward, but nothing about this build looks simple. Stephanie made the costume for her son Jack and did so for under $10 in four days. Read more about the build at Crochetverse.
