‘BB-8 Toddler Tracking Device’ Uses Flora & GPS, Buzzes When Your Kid Strays Too Far From Safety #BB8 @BB8
This is great! This project by a group of four kids – the Young ICT Explorers 2016! – combines Flora and GPS with a piezo buzzer to alert you or your child if one has gone too far from the other. The project is demonstrated in either a wearable bag or even a stylish hat decked out to look like BB-8’s head assembly:
The two videos below show the circuits in action – for which the kids recently won 3rd place in a national Australian technology competition for kids. Congrats to them all, and thanks Amnon from the forums for sending this in.
