Rebecca Lindsay wore a few different costumes at NYCC, but the one that dazzled the most was her double duty Mystique and William Stryker ensemble. She designed the costume to look like Mystique is in the middle of shapeshifting. The costume required a number of skills to pull together including finding the correct existing pieces to use for the clothing parts of the costume, stitching together the wigs, and costume and makeup application — she had to glue on a lot of sequins. She told BuzzFeed a desire to showcase Mystique’s skills inspired the outfit.
