With Halloween coming up, costume making is on the mind of many people. If you don’t have time to design an outfit from scratch, you can start with patterns and Simplicity offers more than a few styles made with cosplayers in mind. They even have a line for DC Comics’ Bombshells characters, including Supergirl, Wonder Woman, and Batgirl. Cosplayer Jessica, a.k.a. The Crazy Bat Lady, used the Batgirl pattern to make her Bloody Batgirl costume (it’s like a Halloween version of the character). She goes over the costume construction steps in the above video from the DC Fans YouTube channel.
Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
