Halloween is just a little over a week away! This year, I thought I’d actually put together a costume and make a 3D printed prop to go with it. I got inspired by Kirby G’s Instructable to cosplay as Fix It Felix Jr. from the Disney movie, Wreck-It-Ralph. Thingiverse user Giuseppe uploaded a design of Fix It Felix’s hammer but I wanted it to actually make sounds. So I designed the hammer in Fusion 360 and used an Adafruit Audio FX sound board, amplifier and speaker to make it play sound effects. Check out my learning guide for a full list of parts, circuit diagram and assembly instructions. I think this is a great project for anyone who’s looking to add sound effects to their cosplay props.
