Arduino co-founder joins AutoDesk to work on CadSoft EAGLE

Arduino co-founder David A. Mellis joins AutoDesk to work on CadSoft EAGLE (CAD tool for designing electronics). He’s asking for suggestions for EAGLE (we suggest streaming out, to broadcast to RMTP, to stream live design).

AutoDesk currently is stockpiling a lot of maker tools and talent: Instructables, circuits.io, new Arduino classes (Becky Stern’s Arduino class has 18,000 enrollees) and now David joins CadSoft. As 2016 ends, the maker consolidation continues.

At some point, why wouldn’t AutoDesk just purchase Arduino?
