Create GPS Art with these Apps

GPS art has become todays equivalent to cave paintings. Primitive looking shapes of people and animals scrawled over our city maps show that we can flex our self tracking muscles. There are new apps available that make drawing GPS pictures easier. Rather than looking at google maps and trying to figure out a route to record with a fitness app these utilities take inputs of distance and shape then map a route.

Figure Running

Everybody loves playing outside. FigureRunning is a new sport that encourages you to get creative, go outside and discover new places while running and getting fit. The competition is not about your running speed or distance, it’s all about drawing.

The Trace App turns digital sketches into a walking route that your friends get to decipher by following it.

Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
