How do you build a massive ED-209? Ghostlight crafted the robot for their reshoot of RoboCop — stilts and all. Their project didn’t have quite as high a budget as the 1987 film did, but still, they used their resources to the best of their abilities and crafted the effects and props for their fan film. Their ED-209 is a full seven feet tall and made practically. They tackled the build despite the fact that they’d never done anything like it before. Watch the above video to see the materials and how ED-209 complied and came together.
