Hack Happiness with Feel

Feel is getting close to releasing a rather svelte looking wristband that recognizes five basic emotions (happy, angry, sad, stressed and satisfied). The device is equipped with four bio-sensors, Bluetooth LE and is waterproof. The bio-sensors are:

  • HRV – Heart Rate Variability
  • GSR – Galvanic Skin Response (sweat)
  • ST – Skin Temperature
  • IMU – Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)

The HRV is being accomplished with the use of a Blood Volume Pressure (BVP) sensor.  Feel includes a companion app to help track emotions on a calendar level. The goal is to determine where, when and during what activities with whom cause patterns in emotion.

Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
