A Steampunk Terrarium Top Hat Is the Perfect Accessory

Designer and sculptor Nicole Taylor creates hats unlike anything else I’ve seen. The particular design that caught my attention is a steampunk-esque top hat with an octopus on top and a terrarium. Yes, the terrarium is built into the hat. The terrarium is decorated with real moss and faux, sculpted mushrooms. Nicole shared a making of video on Facebook with all the in progress photos. The hat was sculpted as is all the landscaping instead the hat. It looks like it was a puzzle to make everything fit just right. The video shows off the lights too — Nicole incorporated them to light the inside of the hat. Watch the video here.

You can place a custom order with Nicole at her Etsy shop. If you want to view more of her work, you can do so at Facebook.
