I wanted to take a minute to thank you and your team, and perhaps offer some perspective on the impact/gravity of your work.
I love your website, visit almost every day, and encourage others to do so. Today I spoke with a man who will retire after 30 years of service in the Navy, he was uncertain about where he belongs outside of the Navy, but knows he wants to teach kids about technology, especially software development. I pointed him to your website, which he found inspiring to say the least.
In an evolving economy, where new generations of thinkers and leaders are striving to cut the bonds of old paradigms that stifle progress and delivery of true value to people in the marketplace, pioneers with focus and mental toughness are extremely important.
Most importantly of all, your openness and encouragement helps people from all walks of life find an outlet for their creativity, viable models for business success, and the opportunity to become part of a community that engages them directly with enthusiasm, respect and patience. You give them all the tools needed to make their own future, as they innovate and explore the world of technology.
Enclosed is my respect and well wishes,
T. W. Anderson
Stop breadboarding and soldering – start making immediately! Adafruit’s Circuit Playground is jam-packed with LEDs, sensors, buttons, alligator clip pads and more. Build projects with Circuit Playground in a few minutes with the drag-and-drop MakeCode programming site, learn computer science using the CS Discoveries class on code.org, jump into CircuitPython to learn Python and hardware together, or even use Arduino IDE. Circuit Playground Express is the newest and best Circuit Playground board, with support for MakeCode, CircuitPython, and Arduino. It has a powerful processor, 10 NeoPixels, mini speaker, InfraRed receive and transmit, two buttons, a switch, 14 alligator clip pads, and lots of sensors: capacitive touch, IR proximity, temperature, light, motion and sound. A whole wide world of electronics and coding is waiting for you, and it fits in the palm of your hand.
