Nintendo Switch Games Coated with ‘Most Bitter Compound Known’: Denatonium Benzoate | #chemistry

The video below – whose process is adopted from the patent ‘preparation of a quaternary ammonium hydroxide and use thereof for the preparation of q quaternary ammonium salt’ – is the same compound that Nintendo Switch game cartridges are apparently coated with, in order to stop kids from eating them.
