Maker Obsessive Creative Disorder obsesses over crafting costumes. As an engineer, he can apply an unique perspective to his creations. One of his newest projects is an infested Kerrigan look from StarCraft. The wings are massive, and he’s making them for Neko Cosplay.
Mixed up PCL and pet wood shavings in a 4:1 ratio by weight in a glass container, shoved it into the oven for 10 minutes, then rolled it out flat to about 4mm. See “Worblapie”. I taped up the back of Neko with masking tape to get the shape I wanted, then cut the worblapie to similar shape, heated it and applied it to her. Removed it when cool, then added the metal rods with even more worblapie. To finish it off, I’m gonna pad it on the inside and make a bit better fastenings in the front, then sculpt the shape of Kerrigan’s wing roots to go under the suit.
See a test of the wing’s movement in this Facebook video and look at more photos of the build here.
