CardioInsight – A Vest that Maps the Heart’s Electrical System
No catheter needed thanks to Medtronic’s new wearable CardioInsight Mapping Vest. It is made out of cotton / spandex and outfitted with 252-electrodes. This wearable device was approved by the FDA in November and is now in commercial use. The three-dimensional heart maps are created by a combination of ECG signals and CT scans should provide a non-invasive solution to quickly locate heart malfunctions.
