Season 7 of Game of Thrones will premiere in July, and as with any evolution and progress in a story, characters’ costumes change. They are part of the narrative and must follow the flow. In a new behind-the-scenes video, designer Michele Clapton discusses how she uses costumes and cloth for storytelling. She shares sketches and information, as well as glimpses of outfits that will be seen in the season ahead — including a new dress for Daenerys Targaryen. The way Clapton considers materials and character might help you with your own designs.
