Acquiring a helmet kit, or any armor kit for that matter, can be a less time consuming route to making a costume. But even with a kit, some measure of finishing is usually required. Punished Props goes through the basic steps of polishing a Guardians of the Galaxy Star-Lord helmet they got from WM Armory. The cast needed to be trimmed and cleaned, and Bill of Punished Props reinforced the helmet with epoxy and fiberglass. The videos above and below go through the steps.
Keep up with future installments of the build at Punished Prop’s YouTube channel. If you want to see how the initial helmet was sculpted and molded, visit WM Armory.
