Nikola Tesla, Mech Rider | @Sketchfab

Nikola Tesla has enjoyed something of a resurgence in recent years, from IBM Watson-inspired art to an online archive dedicated to more than 4,000 pages from periodicals to a Jim Jarmush-composed opera (imagine if electricity were the opera) to a board game battling Thomas Edison. Add to that resurgence a video game wherein Nikola Tesla operates a mech and battles monsters conjured by HP Lovecraft! Thanks to Martti from 10tons for sharing his process and inspiration on the Sketchfab blog!

Tesla’s battle ready mech from our game Tesla vs Lovecraft. Twin-Mounted Miniguns will keep the eldritch aberrations at bay. It runs on clean, renewable energy!

Here’s a preview of the game below:

Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
