Redditor Medvin’s girlfriend is into The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, so he made her a replica of the Guardian Sword from the game. As you can see in the above photo, it glows beautifully. He used NeoPixels to add the soft lighting. He says:
It’s actually fully 3D printed using translucent PLA, the LED’s are NeoPixel LEDs.
Want to make one of your own? Follow our guide to create a 3D printed Guardian Sword:
Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
