If you know G-Lon you know they have some spectacular surface-mount rework and repair videos, among other treasures. This iPhone 7 ‘Touch ID’ repair series is pretty indicative of their craft (and skill – skill I definitely do not have!), and I especially like the custom tool they designed for this repair, which their soldering iron threads into for the purpose of transferring heat from below:
