Making a replica of any kind of dress from Game of Thrones is a commitment, as cosplayer Eveychu learned when she crafted Margaery Tyrell’s gown from the Purple Wedding. The character always has fancy attire, and to get it just right, Eveychu invested time into the project. She says it’s the costume she’s most proud of in her portfolio and shares a little about the process:
The entire thing was handmade by myself. I drafted the pattern from scratch. Spent months on it including – colouring leather silver and cutting it in to leaves, weaving a hemp rope to form all the vines, cutting sequins into flowers and leaves, attaching metal spikes, and hand rolling over 300 roses for the train.
