Self taught plastic and makeup artist Joo Skellington is known for transforming himself through costume. He’s sculpted and built a number of complex masks and costumes including the Hatbox Ghost from the Haunted Mansion, Beast, Hades, and recently, Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast. Joo came up with a rococo take on the character. He says he used “accurate architectural details, clothing, and prosthetics.”
His take on the candelabra character is unique and has a realistic edge the animated version doesn’t. The design is ideal for LEDs to take the place of flames.
