The Adventure Zone’s Flaming Poisoning Raging Sword of Doom is a weapon open to interpretation, and Tumblr user Jesse put their own spin on it. They added just a touch of electronics by incorporating a string of LED lights into the sword’s hilt. These particular lights were all they had on hand, but you could get a similar effect with fewer, brighter LEDs. Whatever sort of lighting you go with, you can wrap the hilt and hide the battery pack in it. You can see a photo of that below.

Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
