‘The Recent Eclipse of the Sun’ as Told by Popular Science Circa 1872 | #SolarEclipse @PopSci

The year is 1872. Popular Science has just published their first issue from their location on Broadway in New York City, one of their opening pages has a lovely reproduction engraving of Samuel Morse, and wouldn’t you know it they have a story about a #SolarEclipse:
