Upcycling a defective PCB panel #ManufacturingMonday (video)

What do you do with a defective panel of PCBs? Turn it into electronic art! In this case we received a panel of PCBs for the CharliePlex FeatherWing that were accidentally missing the perforations necessary to break them apart. This is an extremely rare occurrence, so Andy decided to keep the panel and upcycle it into something cool. Here you can see it wired up and programmed to play out Conway’s Game of Life.   1. How did you run all those FeatherWings from one Feather? There’s only one address input that I know of.

  2. John, the FeatherWing has two possible addresses. I used two of these TCA9548A I2C multiplexers to address 21 boards. https://www.adafruit.com/product/2717
