Immense Halo 2 Brute Costume WIP

YouTuber and maker WexyLex is going huge for her next costume. She’s crafting a life-sized Jiralhanae, a.k.a. Brute, from Halo 2. She started the build for the giant alien in May 2017 and has been chugging along ever since. She’s been posting updates on her YouTube channel, and the Brute gets bigger and more polished over time. Watch the above video to get an intro to the project and the below video to see the latest update.

Keep up with the crafting of the costume on YouTube.

Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.

  1. I wasn’t alone on this project! I was also accompanied by LostVikingProps (aka Gabe Schulz) on this endeavor!

We took it to PAX West and had a blast! We’re taking it to Rose City Comic Con this weekend and are entering a costume competition! Wish us luck!
