Job description: I am responsible for SSL’s antenna subsystem test facility. I lead the team responsible for testing the antenna subsystems before they are integrated on the satellites. The antennas are often referred to as the ears and mouth of the satellites, since that’s what the satellites use to communicate back and forth to earth. Our test facility is the final stop for the antenna subsystems before they are integrated on the satellites.
