Thanks to a post from Matt Patrick Walsh in the Elementary Music Teachers Facebook Group, I was able to discover the music creation app SoundForest. As stated on the website, “SoundForest is a mini music maker that allows you to instantly compose a song using a collection of musical creatures. Compose a loop by tapping animal instruments and mix them into a hypnotic tune. Create a musical ecosystem with SoundForest.”
SoundForest can be used in a class with 1:1 devices, a class with a few devices, or a class with one device. The app is iOS only, which I hope eventually becomes a web-based app. However, the app is free!
