The Guardian Profiles Bici Palermo Tuning, Teenager Bicycle Sound System Modders from Sicily

‘No one puts up with us, so what do we do?’ says one. ‘Let’s raise the volume’

These are some good-looking bicycle mods by teenagers in Palermo, Sicily – and of course wherever there’s a sound system there’s likely to be some lighting effects too! 🙂

(I’ve seen similar sound system mods from kids in Roskill, Auckland, New Zealand too).

Bici Palermo Tuning – a group of teenagers from the Sicilian capital – spend anything up to €1,300 customising their bikes with car batteries and multiple speakers to develop thunderous sound systems. The police are not impressed
