Machine Line Changeover #ManufacturingMonday (video)

It’s Manufacturing Monday at Adafruit!

Behold, an Adafruit machine line changeover. We reconfigure our machine line to manufacture different products up to 10 times a day. These changeovers are like a ballet of human and machine collaboration, performed quickly but with a high degree of precision.

Adafruit’s machine line consists of
1) Board loader
2) Stencil machine
3) PnP SM481
4) PnP SM482
5) Workstation conveyor
6) Reflow oven
7) Indexing conveyor.

Working in concert, these machine are able to output upwards of 5000 individual products a day.

Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
