..the company reported $88 million in revenues during the third quarter, it posted a net loss of $2.5 million

Today, as Mr. Silverman continues to push for change and investors keep close watch on the stock, what’s most frustrating to some close observers of the company is that Etsy seems to have given up so much to gain so little.

“Etsy had the potential to be one of the truly great ones,” said Matt Stinchcomb, an early employee who now runs the Good Work Institute,which was originally an Etsy charitable foundation before being spun off last year. “But it looks like they are cutting anything that’s not essential to the business” …

Reading this a few times, what an article, Etsy was where I shared a space over 10 years go when Etsy was just a few people, with the original Etsy founders, I think they’re all gone now. Bre (co-founder of Makerbot was our MAKE team in NYC). Even Adafruit used the space we had with MAKE’s 2 person office, it’s where I met Collin when we had an event we did each month MAKE/ETSY/CRAFT/MUSIC/POP SCI! “Handmade music” nights… MAKE, Popular Science, ETSY, Eric from LEMURplex and Peter Kirn, looking at the photos you can see a lot was started during that time, what a decade. 325 Gold Street.
