Painting EVA foam or Worbla to look like any other material is an involved process that usually involves building up layers of paint and colors. Feyische Cosplay filmed the process of her painting armor for her World of Warcraft Alleria Windrunner cosplay, and though it’s not a step by step guide with explanations, it’s mesmerizing to watch her work. She uses an airbrush to add light layers of green before switching to brushing on paint by hand. The paints go from flat colors to weathered, textured hues, and I’m fascinated by the transformation.

I’m a miniature wargamer and this looks like a number of things we do while painting models on a whole different scale! It’s nifty to see some of the same tricks being used with different hobbies.
