Cosplaying as a character that can use magic and/or shoots blasts of fire or energy offers the opportunity to construct a creative prop. Redditor Kyengen did just that with their Doctor Doom energy blast. They shaped the fiery explosion using PETG plastic (you can apply heat to the material to bend and curve it), made it more opaque instead of clear, and added a light source to the inside. With the flame-like appearance, the LED definitely simulates fire.
