Cosplayer Danielle Debs knows how to make armor. She’s crafted a variety of armor for everything from costumes of medieval looking characters from Skyrim to more modern ensembles from Halo. Besides piecing together the sets of armor, she is excellent at adding finishes. For Lydia, she started with black EVA foam and craft foam and made it look metallic. You can see some photos of the breastplate base below and then you can see how the gauntlets look in a couple of different stages.
Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
