The most gorgeous costumes all have humble beginnings. For example, Shadowborder Cosplay‘s Anubis costume from Stargate began as Worbla. The early stages of the cosplay look plain aside from the glowing blue LEDs, but over time and with painstaking care, the Egyptian-inspired costume took shape. With details such as illuminated gemstones, a coppery gold paint finish, and subtle weathering, the Anubis ensemble transformed into the regal version seen in Stargate.
The below photos show off some of the raw Worbla; you can view more on Shadowborder Cosplay’s Instagram feed.
Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
