Parks Graflex 2.0 Lightsaber Hilt Upgraded with Custom Teensy 3.5 Extension Board for Prop Interactions | #starwars #lightsaber
I was recently telling a friend about this Graflex Lightsaber project and then serendipitously the maker – TheFirebrandForge – appeared on a recent episode of Show-and-Tell (video below) – cool! This project is amazing. It uses a Parks Graflex 2.0 ‘saber handle along with a 3D-printed inner chasis, Teensy 3.5 and custom extension board for lights & sound control, to assemble a customized lightsaber prop! (Pleasant side effect is the lightsaber doubles as a VU meter too 🙂 )
Here’s a video of the prop in light & sound action:
And kudos to TheFirebrandForge for stopping by a recent Show-and-Tell where they shared this project as well:
Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.
