Cosplayer JediManda recently put the finishing touches on her stunning Duchess Anastasia costume. She took the character’s look from the animated film and poured research and time into getting it just right, basing the pattern on dresses from the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. She began working on the gown in September of last year. Some of the challenges included making a hoop skirt, sewing the dress, designing and placing detailed embroidery, and wiring her handmade tiara with LEDs. The result is nothing short of regal.
