The CPX packs a ton of parts into a very small package. These include an accelerometer, temperature sensor, light sensor, microphone, miniature speaker, infrared receiver and transmitter, 3 buttons, 1 slide switch, 7 capacitive touch pads, and 10 individually addressable RGB neopixels all running on an ATSAMD21 ARM Cortx M0 professor with 2MB of onboard SPI Flash storage.
All of this combined with Arduino, CircuitPython, and MakeCode compatibility make the Circuit Playground Express one of the most agile and accessible boards to teach programming skills.
Have an amazing project to share? The Electronics Show and Tell is every Wednesday at 7:30pm ET! To join, head over to YouTube and check out the show’s live chat and our Discord!
