Simple Armature Automata and Drill-Powered Flipbooks by Federico Tobon | #ArtTuesday

Federico Tobon aka wolfcatworkshop makes some incredible paper- and craft-based art that is consistently playful and creative. For example here’s a 24-frame flipbook attached to the driver of a cordless Milwaukee M18 power tool:

Make a robot friend with Adafruit’s CRICKIT – A Creative Robotics & Interactive Construction Kit. It’s an add-on to our popular Circuit Playground Express, FEATHER and other platforms to make and program robots with CircuitPython, MakeCode, and Arduino. Start controlling motors, servos, solenoids. You also get signal pins, capacitive touch sensors, a NeoPixel driver and amplified speaker output. It complements & extends your boards so you can still use all the goodies on the microcontroller, now you have a robotics playground as well.

  1. Thank you so much! I’m a big fan of Adafruit and this is an honor. Incidentally, the drill project ended up as a flip-box with music controlled by an attiny microcontroller. Some of your tutorials helped a lot, more about that here: https://wolfcatworkshop.com/index.php/portfolio/drill-powered-flipbook-animation/
